Here the rules for the World Cup and World Ranking lists will be described.
Which tournaments counts?
A tournament must be approved by DKU and the results must be deliveres in a specified way.
The tournament must be open for all or be the championship for the country.
We accept tournament for individuals or pairs - not team competitions.
There must be an organization behind the results.
Points
Every tournament gets a certain amount of points (WC=100 points) plus the amount of participants.
World Championships = 100 points.
European/Asian .... Championships = 90 points.
Area Championships (Nordic, Benelux ....) = 80 points.
National Championships = 70 points.
Other championships = 50 points.
The players can get points for match play and stroke play.
If a World Championship has 420 players the winner gets 100 + 420 = 520 points.
Here are the formula: ((championship points + participants) / participants) * (participants - no + 1)
No 1: ((100 + 420) / 420) * (420 - 1 + 1) = 520 points.
No 420: ((100 + 420 / 420) * (420 - 420 + 1) = 1.24 points.
World Cup list
The World Cup list consistof players that have earned points in a specific year.
For a Danish player it would typically be the Danish Championships, Krolf for pairs and the World Championships - both match play and stroke play count for all championships.
